Hard to say - to some people, it means a bead is 50 years or older
(by that description, I'll be achieving vintage status sooner than I'd like to think);
others use it to describe any bead not currently in production.
Since I don't have the final word on the subject, for our purposes, let's just say this category covers those crystals that are of very limited availability. The vast majority are indeed very old, most packaged in the old "pre-Swarovski" packaging (labelled either "D.S. & Co" with the Edelweiss logo, or the even older "K.S. & Co" imprint).
I wish I could give you exact dates of production for each item, but in all honesty, I really can't say. Most vary from pre-WW1 to the mid-70s.
There are a few items listed in this category that are not really all that old, but they are items that Swarovski is no longer producing, and therefore, availability is limited.
I will try my best to update the pages as often as possible, but occasionally (especially if we are away at a show), an item may no longer be available when you place your order.
Please note that our 20% Discount pricing does not apply to crystals in this category!
